The 74 metre Amels new build Avanti has been spotted on the move after departing the Damen Yachting shipyard in Vlissingen.
Built under the codename Project Shadow, the yacht is the sixth hull in the shipyard's Amels 242 Limited Editions range and joins sisterships such as Plvs Vltra and Synthesis on the water after leaving the construction shed in December.
The departure of Avanti from Damen Yachting comes just one year after the hull was sold by Moran Yacht & Ship who represented the owner throughout the build process. Avanti also marks the sixth collaboration between Moran and the Amels shipyard.
The owners have been closely involved in tailoring the yacht to their tastes, opting for an "ice blue" hull colour and "Matterhorn white" superstructure. The exterior of the Amels 242 Limited Editions has been designed by Tim Heywood while British studio Winch Design was chosen to handle the interior spaces.
Avanti can sleep up to 12 guests across six cabins with a crew of 19. Notable features include a dedicated owner’s deck with a foredeck Jacuzzi and an increased capacity helicopter deck.
Avanti is also equipped with the latest IMO Tier III clean emissions power and propulsion package; she is the first Amels 242 to be built to IMO Tier III standards. Meanwhile, her garage can carry three tenders, two wave runners and room for a professional scuba diving set-up.
