The 36.5-metre charter yacht Quantum has been sold in an in-house deal, with Ellie Malouf of Ahoy Club representing both the seller and buyer. With a long history of commercial use, she is "one of Australia's top-performing charter yachts", according to the broker.
Quantum was built by Australian yard Warren Yachts to MCA and ABS standards in 2009 and has been well looked after by her long-standing captain, with her most recent refit in 2020. This involved upgrades to the VCAM alarm monitoring and control system, and the installation of American oak floors, a sea vision underwater light and custom awnings over the flybridge and cockpit.
She is an all-Australian build, with her fibreglass hull and superstructure designed by Anthony Starr and interiors by Hare & Klein. Perfect for entertaining, she is AMSA class-surveyed for up to 45 cruising guests, with overnight accommodation for up to eight guests across four cabins. This includes a master suite, VIP and two doubles.
Guests can dine inside at the formal dining area in the main saloon or outside on the main deck aft. Other onboard areas for relaxing include up on the sundeck for enjoying the surrounding views, or at the U-shaped sofa on the bow for a more intimate setting. Inside, there are state-of-the-art entertainment systems throughout, including a Samsung TV in the main saloon for cosy movie nights and surround sound systems in all the guest cabins.
At the transom, there is a beach club and swim platform for easy access to the water and enjoying Quantum's toybox. This includes two stand-up paddleboards, two Fliteboard foil boards, inflatables and a four-metre Brig Eagle tender.
Powered by two MTU 16V2000 M93 engines, the 150GT yacht can reach a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.
Lying in Sydney, Australia, Quantum was asking AU$9,650,000.
