The 30.5-metre sloop Y3K has been sold with Youri Loof of Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage representing the seller and Michel Chryssicopoulos of IYC representing the buyer.
The carbon-fibre sloop was built by Wally in Italy in 2009 and given a thorough upgrade in 2022. She is a high-performance racer, pulling together a hotshot 20-strong crew, but can also be used for leisurely cruising with family and friends looked after by a crew of three or four.
Luca Bassani and the Wally design team pulled together the talents of top naval architect Germán Frers and the Wally in-house design team to create the yacht — sure to grab admiration when stern-to in Porto Cervo, Portofino or St Tropez.
Y3K's streamlined racing lines and flush decks contain a voluminous, minimalist interior with five cabins accommodating a party of eight. A teak-decked terrace-on-the-sea aft is the perfect spot to relax, even underway. The powerful sail plan pushes the 77GT yacht at impressive speeds, with a Cummins diesel engine on hand when she needs some extra power.
Y3K's impressive racing pedigree in superyacht regattas includes three Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup trophies, and she was sold with a full racing wardrobe and equipment, ready to race this summer.
Lying Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Y3K was last asking €2,800,000 with VAT paid.
