A 32.1-metre Ocean Alexander 32 Legend motor yacht, delivered in August 2024, has been sold and named Cool Change in a deal facilitated by Dan Aultman of MarineMax Yachts.
Designed inside and out by Evan K. Marshall, Cool Change is hull number 11 of the popular 32 Legend series from Taiwanese shipyard Ocean Alexander. Her construction was started on speculation in 2022, now sold to a first-time Ocean Alexander owner who has moved on from their first, smaller "express-style" yacht, to the larger new build.
According to the broker, "the moment he [the owner] stepped aboard, the build quality, exceptional value, and how seamlessly the yacht would live on the water for his family became undeniable." The owner was said to be drawn to the, "volume of comfortable space, the yacht’s extensive list of world-class amenities, and its intelligent layout."
Accommodation on board is for ten guests across five cabins, including a main deck master suite fitted with panoramic vertical windows and a dedicated night head. The remaining guests cabins all benefit from en suite bathrooms and have "ample storage" for luggage.
According to the shipyard, among the standout features that caught the eye of Cool Change's new owner was the "thoughtful separation between guest and crew spaces," thanks to dedicated crew quarters which ensure privacy while maintaining efficient operation on board.
A standout feature on board is the bridge deck – situated between the enclosed sky lounge and open aft bridge – which is a versatile space for entertaining friends and relaxed time with family, complete with a Jacuzzi and al fresco dining table.
This sale is particularly noteworthy due to the owner's relatively short time in yachting. Aultman noted that "this move to a larger, more capable yacht like the 32L reflects [the owner's] passion to explore further and do so with enhanced comfort and thoughtful design."
The 32.1-metre is powered by twin MAN diesel engines which provide a top speed of 24 knots and cruising speed of 18 knots.
Cool Change's asking price is unknown.
