The 46.94 metre motorsailer Mikado has been listed for sale by Burgess.
Built in aluminium by Japanese yard Hitachi Zosen to a design by William Garden, she was delivered in 1987 as a ketch-rigged yacht with annual refits since. Mikado welcomes eight guests in four lower deck cabins. The full beam owner's suite aft has seating either side, a dressing room and his and hers en suite bathrooms. Two further double cabins and one twin cabin complete the accommodation, all with en suite bathroom facilities.
On the main deck there is an intimate observation lounge on the foredeck and side deck gates lead to the main deck aft guest area. There is a lounge diner area with open air dining for eight guests. Aft is a lounge area shaded by an awning with deck space for sun loungers or sun pads.
On the technical side, both masts, with in-mast furling, and booms are in aluminium by Rondal, who also supplied her furling equipment, and she completed her eight-year rig survey in 2018. All sails were new by North Sails in 2017 with staysail and genoa serviced again in 2020 and the majority of her Lewmar winches are hydraulic. Under power, her top speed is 14.knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 3,000 nautical miles at 9 knots with power coming from two 486hp General Motors 16V92N diesel engines.
Lying in Palma, Spain, Mikado is asking $3,250,000.
