The 39.62 metre Hatteras motor yacht Tranquility, listed for sale by John Cohen at Merle Wood & Associates, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Vince Pyle of Peck Yachts.
Built in GRP by US yard Hatteras to a design by Jack Hargrave, she was delivered in 1995 and last refitted in 2018. An interior in rich satin-finished cherry wood with granite and honey onyx accents accommodates 10 guests in five cabins. These consist of a master suite, VIP suite, double and two twins, all with entertainment centres and en-suite bathroom facilities. In addition, there are quarters for seven crew.
The main saloon has sculptured carpets, a mirrored ceiling, settees and armchairs to port and an entertainment centre including a large screen television to starboard while forward is a formal dining area.
Al fresco entertaining and dining is readily available on the aft deck, fitted out with a settee at the transom along with a table and four folding teak chairs, while port and starboard stairways lead down to a broad swim platform.
Up on the flybridge are three helm seats, built-in upholstered seating, two fixed tables, a bar with three stools and a hot tub, sheltered by a partial hard top.
Twin 2,400hp Detroit Diesel engines give her a comfortable cruising speed of 15 knots, topping out at 22 knots and a range of 1,100 nautical miles.
Tranquility was asking $2,950,000.
