Sanlorenzo Asia and Simpson Marine have announced the sale of a new Sanlorenzo SP110 motor yacht shortly after the model's debut at Cannes Yachting Festival last month. The model is the first sold in Asia and is expected to be delivered in 2024.
The 33.5 metre open coupé is the debut model of Sanlorenzo’s new Smart Performance (SP) series, offering high-power jet propulsion with low fuel consumption.
The project marks Sanlorenzo's entry into the sports yacht market and was born from a collaboration between Bernardo Zuccon (exteriors), Tilli Antonelli (product development), Marco Arnaboldi (hull design) and Piero Lissoni (interior). The SP110 features a split-level interior set-up that creates a two-storey glass atrium visible from the aft deck. A three-cabin and two-saloon configuration is granted by an eight-metre beam with living spaces illuminated by vast expanses of glass.
The design also features a generous 50 square metre aft deck lounge that is well-connected to the interior of the boat via a sliding glass window. Up at the bow, there is a dining area and sunbathing zone.
Power comes from a jet propulsion set-up with triple Volvo IPS MAN V12 2,200hp engines delivering a top speed of 40 knots with a cruising speed of 36 knots. A fractional propulsion system allows the yacht to move around using just one engine, a pair, or all three, offering owners greater autonomy and lower fuel consumption. Onboard solar panels also supply power to run the hotel load.
Sanlorenzo Asia sales manager, Nick Stratton noted she is an “incredibly powerful yacht” that is “nearly silent at high speeds." "The sale of SP110 is tangible proof that Asian customers are ready for the next level in Fast Performance yachting,” he added.
Simpson Marine also announced it had signed an order for a Sanlorenzo SX100 and a Sanlorenzo SD118.
The asking price of the SP110 has been withheld.
