Benetti motor yacht Rampante sold

24 April 2017 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

The 46 metre motor yacht  Rampante,  listed for sale with Johnny Woods at Woods & Associates has been sold in house.

Built in steel and aluminium by Italian yard Benetti to a design by Ray Harvey and Lloyd's classed with delivery in 1989, Rampante was refitted in 2006, in 2011 and again in 2014, incurring an expense in excess of $10 million. Upgrades have included fresh exterior paint, new teak decks, new furniture, rich wooden floors and much more.

Rampante was asking $3,450,000

Generous accommodation is for 10 guests in five cabins including a full-beam master suite on the main deck and two double and two twin guest cabins below deck, all with full en-suite bathroom facilities.

A meticulous interior design in light, neutral colours by Terence Disdale incorporates a large saloon with a C-shaped sofa, bar and entertainment centre in the lounge area and an expansive dining room. More casual al fresco dining is on offer on the aft bridge deck and the lower aft cockpit which seats approximately 14 guests. The cockpit could also be converted back into its former use for sports fishing with the addition of a fighting chair.

The exterior decks offer plenty of space for entertaining in style, especially the huge sun deck with its uninterrupted views and uncluttered teak decking. Owned by an experienced yachting family for many years, Rampante has never been chartered. Twin 1,937hp Caterpillar engines power her to a cruising speed of 13 knots and a maximum speed of 18 knots.

Rampante was asking $3,450,000.
