The 24.68 metre sailing yacht Two, listed for sale by Hank Halsted at Northrop & Johnson, has been sold at an auction conducted by DeCaro Auctions on December 16.
Built in GRP by Turkish yard Alia Yachts to a design by Warwick Yacht Design and MCA compliant, Two was delivered in 2011 as the second yacht in this series. Eight guests are accommodated in a master suite, double and twin, and a convertible library/cabin, all with entertainment centres, Samsung LCD television screens and full en suite facilities.
The interior has mahogany panelling and lacquered finishes with a large pilothouse saloon complemented by a covered outdoor entertainment cockpit while the lower saloon has comfortable seating, a bar, entertainment centre and a full service galley forward.
Hydraulically actuated push-button sail controls, together with the latest in B&G and Furuno Electronics, mean sail trimming and navigation is handled easily from the two helm stations – one positioned just aft of the guest cockpit, the other an inside helm station for navigation during poor weather.
Built to very high specifications with a 35 metre carbon rig and in-boom furling, her hydraulically controlled lifting keel allows her to cruise in shallow waters while, with the keel down, she becomes a powerful competitive racer.
Under power, a single 260hp Volvo Penta engine gives her a cruising speed of 9 knots and has logged only 750 hours.
The last asking price of Two was $3,495,000.
