The Superyacht Rendezvous returns to Porto Montenegro with Rubix Festival

12 July 2023

The Superyacht Rendezvous Montenegro is back after a six-year hiatus with a three-day programme of events enticing superyachts over 40 metres to shore to explore everything this Adriatic gem has to offer.

Returning to the yachting calendar for the first time since 2016, this year's edition offers a newly crafted social programme and coincides with the inaugural Rubix Festival, a summer celebration of music and art set against the serene backdrop of the UNESCO Bay of Kotor.

The Superyacht Rendezvous Montenegro is set to take place from 27 July to 30 July and kicks off with the Ocean Conservation Dinner at the newly opened and internationally acclaimed MayaBay. The following morning, guests can use the time at leisure to explore the nautical village or join in one of the immersive Rubix workshops and masterclasses on offer. An evening welcome cocktail reception will follow on the palm-lined Jetty 1 as the sun dips behind the mountains, with shuttles to the Rubix festival opening shows.

Day two starts with a dip in the iconic pool at Buddah-Bar Beach at the Porto Montenegro Yacht Club with a tour of the new Adriatic42 shipyard open to the captains and engineers of attending vessels. In the evening, Rubix festival ramps up with concerts from British electronic band Morcheeba and classical pianist Francesco Tristano.

The final day can be spent at leisure at the Yacht Club or exploring Boka Bay, with an evening of DJ sets concluding the festival and rounding out the rendezvous.

The Superyacht Rendezvous Montenegro is open to all vessels over 40 metres in length. Any vessel booking a berth on 27 July will receive two complimentary tickets for the Ocean Conservation dinner at MayaBay and the berthing fee will be donated to charity.

Any vessel participating at the rendezvous will receive four tickets for Rubix Workshops and Rubix Concerts and will be entitled to 30 per cent off the ticket price for each additional ticket needed. For vessels staying two nights, one night of the berthing fee will be donated to charity and one night will be charged as normal. For vessels staying three nights, one night of the berthing fee will be donated to charity, one night will be charged as normal and one night will be sponsored by the marina.
