The two transactions are aimed at improving overall profitability for the Group and gaining more control over production and procurement.
Massello Srl, based in Fano, has expertise in building wooden furniture for yachts and recently launched an innovative onboard assembly service, while Fratelli Canalicchio SpA, based in Narni, specialises in static exteriors and automatic kinetic systems for yachts.
Speaking on the acquisition, Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group, said: "We have finalised these two transactions because the acquisition of control of a strategic supplier ensures stability and reliability, improves industrial performance and insourcing of expertise. We are confident that the upstream integration will allow us to express even more quality and optimise costs and time."
The combined revenues of both companies are estimated to stand at approximately €13 million and Ferretti Group, as a result of the acquisition, forecasts the companies to generate approximately €30 million in sales by 2025.
At the Cannes Yachting Festival, Ferretti Group announced that an additional 29 yachts – including new models, replacements and range expansions – will be developed between 2022 and 2024. A few of these models were revealed at the press event including a flagship Pershing 170 and flagship Riva 54.
