The brokerage market saw a strong end to the year with 146 superyachts sold in the fourth quarter, according to the latest data from BOATPro. The sales had a total asking price of €2.2 billion (€2,197,907,447), meaning that there was an average of €15 million (€15,054,161) per deal.
The most expensive yacht sold in Q4 was AV (ex-Palladium), which was asking €140 million. Merle Wood introduced the buyer, who was a long-time repeat client of the brokerage firm, and Northrop & Johnson acted for the seller.
Of the yachts sold a vast majority were motor yachts (132), but 14 sailing yacht sales were also completed. The most expensive sailing yacht sold in the period was 58-metre Royal Huisman Twizzle, which was asking €39.9 million and was sold by Edmiston in an in-house deal.
