Sanlorenzo has announced the LIFE MYSTIC (Methanol for Yachting Sustainable energy Transition applied to Internal Combustion engines) project, which aims to develop the first green methanol bi-fuel superyacht by 2027.
Co-funded by the European Union, the project will invest a total of €4.8 million over 54 months to test engines and generators for superyachts powered through a combination of diesel and methanol.
