Superyacht refit group Amico & Co is taking strides towards reducing its carbon footprint owing to several upgrades made to the yard's Genoa facility over the years.
Key findings in the group's first sustainability report – covering data analysed between 2019 and 2021 – include the enhanced thermal efficiency of the hangars, which has been measured according to a 73 per cent reduction in energy consumption; the equivalent of 405 tonnes of CO2 saved in the three-year period; and the electrification of all docks housed within the shipyard and waterfront marina.
