On the evening of 24 February, the winners of the 2014 ShowBoats Design Awards will be revealed, recognising the designers and teams behind the finest superyachts delivered in the last year.
Now in its fifth year, the ShowBoats Design Awards have become synonymous with excellence in superyacht building and design. Held in conjunction with the Superyacht Design Symposium (SDS), taking place in Kitzbühel, Austria, for the first time this year, the ShowBoats Design Awards take place on the first evening of SDS.
The venue for the ShowBoats Design Awards is the exquisite Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens, Austria. An international audience comprising superyacht owners, designers and the creative teams behind the sublime finalist yachts will be in attendance for the gala evening.
Focusing on the fundamental aspects of superyacht design, the ShowBoats Design Awards celebrate accomplishment across the many facets of design. Award categories include Interior Design, Exterior Design & Styling, Naval Architecture, Holistic Design and Tender Design. Awards are also given for environmental success as well as recognising designers for lifetime achievement in the field of superyachts. In addition, burgeoning talent is acknowledged with the Young Designer of the Year Award sponsored by Oceanco.
Winners will receive a coveted golden Neptune trophy, and this year bespoke Judges' Commendation Award prizes are made by DKT Artworks.
