Following the completion of the shell, BATAVIA embarked on a journey to New Zealand, where machinery, joinery work, and the final touches were skillfully executed. Serving as the flagship of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron during the America’s Cup, BATAVIA proved her mettle before transitioning to a new owner, who spared no expense in a million-dollar refit, elevating the marble and furnishings to the pinnacle of luxury.
