A new 55 metre Amels Limited Editions 180, hull 470, has been sold with Gary Wright and Will Christie of Y.CO representing the buyer. The Limited Edition Amels 180, which is an extended version of the Amels 177, will be delivered to her owners in 2017.
The Tim Heywood designed yacht is “ever-evolving” and according to dutch-builder Amels is one of the “most refined and smooth-functioning yachts” on the market.
There is a large emphasis on open-air access and as a result the owner’s suite is fitted with a folding balcony while the main deck saloon has two balconies.
The sun deck has been enlarged so that it is now 25 metres long and offers 155 square meters of luxury space. The sun deck also accommodates a touch-and-go helipad, which becomes part of the guest area when not in use.
The Amels 180 also features a large swimming platform with a beach club, steamroom. Accommodations will be for 12 guests and 12 crew members plus the captain.
Seven hulls in the Limited Edition 180 series are already launched. The first Limited Edition 180 was Step One and two others have been launched this year, La Familia (hull 467) and Vega (hull 468). There are also two are under construction at the Amels yard, hulls 469 and 470.
The sale is the seventh sales transaction by Y.CO in seven weeks.
