Following the launch of its latest Puro series earlier this year and a recent new model, Taiwanese shipyard Ocean Alexander showcased an exciting lineup at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The shipyard presented models from all four of its series - Legend, Explorer, Revolution and Puro - including a world debut. Each range boasts distinct features designed to cater to a wide range of yachting preferences. BOAT takes you through the selection, highlighting the offerings of each model as you progress through the sizes.
28L
Recently launched, the brand-new 28L marks the entry-level model in the much-loved Legend series. Designed inside and out by long-time collaborator Evan K. Marshall, the 28L features an updated layout with a versatile dining area located forward of the main deck. This flexible space can be left open to the galley for a casual dining experience or closed off for a more formal setting. Below deck, the yacht offers a comfortable four-cabin layout, with a full-beam master amidships, a VIP forward and twins on the port and starboard sides.
32L
Offering similar features to the 28L, the 32L offers even more space. The model upgrades to a five-cabin layout, including a split-level master suite that spans both the main and lower decks for added exclusivity. Additional highlights include sunpads on the foredeck for lounging, as well as an expansive skylounge and aft deck, where there’s ample space for a Jacuzzi.
37L
The 37L enhances everything offered by the 32L, with significantly more spacious areas throughout the yacht. It boasts a much larger galley and a generous beach club for waterside fun. The skylounge offers complete separation from the bridge, creating a more relaxed and private area for unwinding. The expansive aft deck features L-shaped seating, a bar and sun loungers for social gatherings. Additionally, the 37L introduces a sundeck, providing a more intimate and secluded spot for those seeking a quiet escape.
28E
The 28E represents the entry-level model in Ocean Alexander’s Explorer series, beloved for its adventurous spirit. A standout feature is its expansive swim platform, which provides ample space to carry both a tender and jet ski. The 28-metre yacht accommodates five cabins, including a VIP, two doubles and a twin on the lower deck, and a master suite forward of the main deck. The main saloon offers a formal dining area, while the skylounge and aft deck serve as prime spots for relaxation, featuring al fresco dining and comfortable seating. Additional lounging options can be found on the foredeck’s sunpads, perfect for soaking up the sun.
27R
The shipyard was proud to present the full lineup of its Revolution series, beginning with the entry-level 27R, which features a striking metallic hull. Embodying the Revolution series' latest lifestyle trends of today’s yacht owners, the 27R offers a five-cabin layout, including a full-beam master suite forward on the main deck, with a VIP, two double cabins and two twins on the lower deck. The galley is located on the lower deck to free up space for further guest comfort on the main deck. At the stern, you’ll find the ever-popular beach club with an air-conditioned seating area that opens onto a spacious swim platform. Up top, the upper deck features a light and airy skylounge that flows onto the expansive aft deck, offering al fresco dining and comfortable sofa seating.
30R
The 30R is the next step up in the Revolution series, offering all the standout features of the 27R but with even more space. The en suite cabins are notably larger and the galley moves up to the main deck to improve accessibility and convenience for the crew. The upper deck aft is significantly expanded, offering ample space that can accommodate a Jacuzzi if desired, making it an ideal area for relaxation and socialising while enjoying the views.
35R
The 35R, the largest model in the Revolution series, featured a metallic grey hull in Fort Lauderdale, departing from the traditional white. This model represents a significant upgrade in onboard amenities compared to its smaller sisterships. While it retains the five-cabin layout, the master suite on the main deck is considerably larger, featuring an expansive bathroom with his-and-hers facilities.
In this model, the crew quarters are relocated to the bow, allowing the aft section to be transformed into a spa and gym, conveniently located next to the beach club for a full wellness experience. Moving up, the sundeck offers panoramic views and includes a Jacuzzi and wet bar.
35P
Following the successful debut of the Puro series at the Palm Beach International Boat Show earlier this year, Ocean Alexander showcased a second 35P hull in Fort Lauderdale. While the first hull featured a metallic grey finish, this one will sport a white-painted hull.
Penned by Italian designer Giorgio Cassetta, the 35P represents a fusion of "European and Italian design" with "American sensibilities”. The second hull will highlight Cassetta’s alternative interior style, “Sereno”, as opposed to the “Nautique” theme featured on the first model. One of the 35P's standout design elements is the foredeck Jacuzzi, which can be opened or closed with sunpads.
