The best celebrity yachting moments of 2016

Pop star Justin Bieber kicked off 2016 in style on board a superyacht in St Barths. Between performing at Leonardo DiCaprio's New Year's Eve party and hanging out with his model girlfriend Hailey Baldwin, Bieber managed to squeeze in some family time on a yacht with his siblings Jazmyn and Jaxon.

However, this wasn't Bieber's first time on a luxury yacht. During summer 2015 the singer caused an Internet storm by posting a naked photo of himself standing on the aft deck of a yacht and weeks later added another photo - captioned 'I caught a big one' - showing off his fishing prowess while standing on the bow of a large yacht. Although it is unclear exactly which yacht Bieber chose for this jaunt, he is known to be a fan of the 37.18 metre Oceanfast yacht Never Say Never, which shares the same name as the singer's 2011 tour.

Scottish singer/songwriter Tallia Storm opted for a slightly different yacht vacation in January 2016 as she took to a catamaran during a family holiday in Barbados. The teenage star was joined by her parents and brother and the family made the most of their time on board by challenging each other to a diving contest.

Kiwi glamour model and reality TV star Zilda Williams (right) enjoyed some winter sun alongside fellow model and TV presenter Jordan Finlayson aboard a luxury yacht in Australia in early 2016. The television personality is known to be a great fan of luxury yachts and is often spotted at parties and events which include a superyacht cruise around Sydney Harbour.

Heiress and DJ Paris Hilton celebrated her 35th birthday in style with an exotic luxury vacation. Although she has kept quiet about her exact location, it is easy to tell from her social media posts that she has visited a far flung destination such as the Maldives or French Polynesia. While there Hilton also shared this snap from a yacht during a trip to one of the world's best scuba diving spots.

American actress Shay Mitchell combined work and pleasure as she enjoyed some time on board a luxury catamaran during a photoshoot in Hawaii in February 2016. Mitchell, best known for her role in TV thriller Pretty Little Liars, was joined on board by fellow actress Elysia Rotaru and the pair turned a work trip into a vacation by snorkelling, sunbathing and jumping from the side of the catamaran into the ocean below.

Actress and comedian Amy Schumer showed off her funny side in February 2016 during a luxury yacht vacation. Schumer - who sent the internet into a frenzy in 2015 when she posted an image of herself performing a human pyramid on board a superyacht with Jennifer Lawrence - this time opted for the slightly more traditional shot of herself and friends, including Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica, fellow comedian Bridget Everett and boyfriend Ben Hanisch, leaping off the yacht's aft deck swim platform.

Pop star Kylie Minogue is no stranger to a glamorous superyacht vacation so when she headed home to perform in Sydney in March 2016 it only made sense that she should make time for a envy-inducing cruise around Sydney Harbour. Looking relaxed and at home on a luxury yacht, Kylie demonstrated why there really is no better way for an international music sensation to travel.

American television presenter Andy Cohen showed just how much fun sailing superyachts can be when he shared this snap from a recent luxury yacht vacation in Mustique. Cohen was a guest on board 92 metre Lurssen Eos as a guest of her celebrity owners IAC Chairman Barry Diller and his fashion designer wife Diane von Furstenburg. Along with a group of friends they undertook a cruise around a number of Caribbean islands, taking in the sights, enjoying al fresco lunches on board and making the most of the Caribbean's world-class diving.

Musician Robin Thicke and his girlfriend, model April Love Geary (pictured), shared a series of snaps on social media as they explored the Maldives on a superyacht in May 2016. The pair began their vacation in Dubai, where they also made use of a luxury yacht to cruise the coastline, before heading on to the paradise destination.

However, this was not the couple's first superyacht vacation of 2016. Love Geary shared a snap of the pair's lavish New Year's Eve meal on board a superyacht in St Barts in January and the pair were also spotted visiting Leonardo DiCaprio - who was staying on a neighbouring yacht - and checking out one of the largest superyachts in the world, Roman Abramovich's Eclipse, from the comfort of their jet skis.

Rising star Willow Smith shared this snap on social media from a luxury yacht vacation on the Amalfi Coast with her parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith in June 2016. The family are believed to have chartered 52.4 metre Baglietto superyacht Mischief which they met in Naples and cruised around the Italian coastline to Positano.
