Cannes 2016: 6 images inside Paul Allen's Enchanted Garden superyacht party

Ever wondered what it would be like to pull up to a party on one of the world's largest superyachts? Bollywood star Amy Jackson posted this incredible image to social media as she arrived via tender at Microsoft founder Paul Allen's annual superyacht party on board 126 metre Octopus at the Cannes Film Festival 2016.

Every year Allen chooses a suitably cinematic theme for his party on board the impressive Lürssen yacht. After last year's Bollywood style bash, for 2016 the tech entrepreneur chose Shakespeare and A Midsummer Night's Dream to inspire his enchanted garden-themed soiree.

With her expert's eye for interior design it's no wonder that Sabrina Monteleone - of superyacht favourite interiors boutique Sabrina Monte-Carlo - shared the most beautiful snap of Octopus' amazing party decorations. Grass-like carpets, trees with glowing leaves, thousands of delicate flowers and even human statues dressed as woodland nymphs made this an event not to forget.

Famous among his friends for his musical prowess, Paul Allen (and his band) have often been known to provide the musical entertainment at his superyacht parties. They didn't disappoint this year with a much-shared rendition of some of Led Zeppelin's greatest hits.

The star-studded guest list at 2016's event is said to have included Mick Jagger, Chloe Sevigny and Mischa Barton. Here American artist and actress Lily Levy makes herself at home on one of the Baroque-style couches brought on board for the party.

Proving it sometimes pays to be the last one to leave a party, Italian photographer German Larkin shared this snap taken at 3am with the caption, "Paul Allen's boat is so huge that even Mick Jagger looked small on it".
