Swiss fine watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has unveiled a new Marine Diver timepiece to mark its partnership with America’s Cup team Artemis Racing.
Following on from Oracle Team USA timing partner Bremont - which recently released its own range of America’s Cup watches - the limited edition Marine Diver Artemis Racing was fittingly launched at the team’s home port in Gothenburg, Sweden during the latest America’s Cup World Series event.
The watch itself has been created in Artemis Racing’s striking yellow and blue colour scheme and has been designed with the tough conditions of America’s Cup racing in mind. Crafted from durable stainless steel and rubber, the timepiece is waterproof to 300 metres and features a rotating bezel, 42-hour power reserve with indicator and self-winding movement.
Of course, style has not been forgotten, and the watch features a highly original face decorated with sailing yachts and a wave pattern to the bezel. The Artemis Racing yacht and logo can also be seen on the dial and etched onto the caseback, along with the insignia ‘Challenger 35th America’s Cup’, on each of the 250 numbered limited edition watches.
“Ulysse Nardin’s history of navigating the sea, paired with the DNA of innovation and technology, which is firmly established in both companies, makes this partnership a perfect match,” said Patrik Hoffman, CEO of Ulysse Nardin.
“When meeting the Artemis engineers, technicians, and craftsmen at their base in San Francisco I quickly realised that the spirit of passion and innovation is the driving force behind this extraordinary team.”
The Ulysse Nardin Marine Diver Artemis Racing limited edition timepiece is available now.
