8 of the best sailing yachts at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show

Sybaris

With the Monaco Yacht Show just around the corner, we have already picked out 26 of the must-see yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show and the best yachts for sale at MYS. Our focus now turns to the best sailing yachts heading to Port Hercules.

Perini Navi ketch Sybaris will be one of the largest yachts at the Monaco show. Launched earlier this year, this 70 metre sailing superyacht was commissioned for serial superyacht owner Bill Duker. Her Phillippe Briand exterior design features a pair of carbon fibre masts that will tower over Port Hercules and a total sail plan in excess of 3,000 square metres. Visitors to the show will hope to catch a glimpse at her interiors by PH Design, which have been described as “minimal, but not minimalist”.

Nativa

Another notable sailing yacht that will surely turn heads at the Monaco Yacht Show, Nativa is currently for sale with Fraser Yachts. Launched in 2013 by Italian yard Arzana Navi, this 48.15 metre aluminium sloop features a flybridge deck and naval architecture by Bill Tripp. Accommodation on board Nativa is for ten guests across five cabins.

Alejandra

As well as featuring some of the coolest superyachts of 2016, the Monaco Yacht Show is also a key event for fans of classic yachts. The 41.3 metre Alejandra — which is listed for sale through Y.CO — is a fine example of this. Launched by Mefasa in 1993, she features classical styling by Bruce King on both her interior and exterior. Eight guests can be accommodated in Alejandra's_ _four cabins, which are finished in rare Cuban mahogany.

Ludynosa G

Currently listed for sale, Ludynosa G will represent New Zealand yard Fitzroy Yachts at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show. This fast cruising sloop was launched in 2005 with exterior design by Dubois Naval Architects and Redman Whiteley Dixon interiors for up to eight guests across four cabins. Her 37.43 metre aluminium hull is fitted with a 700hp Caterpillar 3406E diesel engine for a cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles under power.

Lloyds classed and MCA compliant, Ludynosa G recently had a €500,000 price reduction at Burgess and McMaster Yachts.

Shamanna

The second hull in the Nautor’s Swan 115 series, Shamanna makes her Monaco Yacht Show debut this year after being launched by the Finnish yard in April. This flush-deck 35.2 metre yacht has been configured for high-performance sailing. Built from a GRP hull and superstructure, Shamanna features exterior design and naval architecture by German Frers, as well as accommodation for eight guests across four cabins.

Inukshuk

Launched in 2013 by Baltic Yachts, Inukshuk will be heading to the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show. She is one of three vessels on display at this year’s show with interiors by London-based Adam Lay Studio (the other two being Bijoux and La Passion). Measuring 32.64 metres overall, Inukshuk features accommodation for eight guests split across four cabins, as well as crew quarters that allow for a staff of five.

Emmaline

A 2003 launch for Holland Jachtbouw, Emmaline is for sale with YPI and attending the Monaco Yacht Show. Designed by Dykstra Naval Architects to be a modern interpretation of the fast and seaworthy Bristol Channel pilot cutter, this 32.33 metre aluminium-hulled yacht accommodates six guests in comfort and can be sailed with a minimal crew requirements.

Crossbow

Hull number five in the Southern Wind 102 series, Crossbow is heading to the Monaco Yacht Show for her public debut. Styled inside and out by Milanese studio Nauta Design, this 31.71 metre composite sailing yacht features naval architecture by Farr Yacht Design. Her interiors allow for eight guests across four cabins, while crew accommodation is for a staff of four.
