Top 6 reasons to visit the Singapore Yacht Show

The yachts

A true highlight of the Asia Pacific yachting calendar, the Singapore Yacht Show is shaping up nicely for 2018, its eighth edition. We explain why this four-day event (which runs from April 12-15) is an unmissable experience.

First and foremost, there will be a wide selection of yachts on display from catamarans and dayboats to fully-fledged superyachts. Guests can admire the Sanlorenzo SL78 (pictured above), Princess 30M, Azimut Grande 27 Metri and Ferretti Yachts 780, all of which are making their Asian debut.

The yachting brands

As well as the yachts themselves, some of the biggest names in the industry will be strongly represented too. Visitors to the Singapore Yacht Show can catch up and get the latest updates from the likes of Amels, BenettiFeadship, Ferretti Group, Gulf Craft, Heesen, Sanlorenzo, Silver Yachts, PrincessWestport and many more besides.

The location

Held in the idyllic setting of ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, the Singapore Yacht Show is a great way to discover some of the unspoiled cruising grounds that the region has to offer.

Singapore itself is an essential stop-off for superyachts cruising South-East Asia. As well as the pristine coastal waters, there is plenty to explore on-shore, from world-class golf courses and country clubs to a choice of 29 Michelin starred restaurants.

The entertainment

From supercar displays to wine, beer and gin tasting, an international food carnival and even yoga workshops, there is much more to the Singapore Yacht Show than just the boats on the water. In terms of marina action, visitors can also look forward to daily demonstrations from some of the most popular superyacht water toy brands.

The show doesn’t stop when the sun goes down, with a packed social calendar to choose from. There is something to suit every taste, and with DJs and mixologists on hand, the evenings are sure to be lively. As well as the marina itself, the after parties will spread out across the city to exclusive venues in the heart of Singapore.

The networking

Singapore is famed for its hospitality, but to get the most out of the yacht show, the Professional Multipass is a must. As well as providing entry to the show on all four days, the Multipass gives visitors access to the Captain’s Lounge, exclusive B2B networking events and conferences as well as the show opening party.
