Sunrise
Based in the Free Zone of Anatalya, Turkey, Sunrise Yachts constructs power steel and aluminium superyachts ranging between 45 and 68 metres in length. The company also operates a luxury yacht refit yard with hauling capacities of up to 600 metric tons; soon to be upgraded to 1,200 metric tons.
History of Sunrise Yachts
Superyacht builder Sunrise Yachts was founded in 2006 by Herbert Baum, a German yachtsman, and Guillaume Roché, a British and French yacht builder with a 10-year history of constructing yachts in Turkey. The shipyard’s first project was the design and construction of two 45m full displacement superyachts designed by noted design teams STUDIO Scanu of Italy and Franck Darnet of France. Recently, the shipyard has signed contracts for several superyachts and currently has five in build.
Notable Sunrise Yachts
In 2014, Sunrise Yachts launched the 45m Atomic, a sister ship to the 45-meter Africa launched in 2009, proving the timelessness of this successful yacht design. Both yachts have interior designs by the French studio Franck Darnet Design; however, Atomic’s interior features light woods while those on Africa are dark and tropical. Project Skyfall, a 68m yacht being built by Sunrise Yachts, is the first in a new superyacht series and scheduled to be completed in early 2017.
