2024 brokerage report: Normalisation period for yacht sales concludes “without much drama”

Introduction

The brokerage yacht market had a strong showing in 2024, though it appears to be slowing in relation to previous years. Certain size segments suffered more than others, with brokers generally pointing to difficult economic conditions that would have contributed to lower sales. Not to mention how the industry’s biggest consumer market appeared to be holding its breath prior to a particularly consequential election, then proceeded to splurge afterwards for a big boost in momentum that seems to be carrying over into the new year.
