A spokesperson for the United States Marshals Service has confirmed to Business Insider that Lürssen's 106.1-metre Amadea has been sold at auction, following the yacht's forfeiture by order of a US District Court in New York.
The sealed bid auction was administered by National Maritime Services in collaboration with Fraser, having closed on 10 September 2025. Neither the new owner nor the final sale price have been disclosed.
"This is perhaps the most spectacular, exacting and beautiful ship any of us will ever see," said National Maritime Services chairman Bob Toney. "An opportunity like this for discerning owners is exceedingly rare – maybe once in a lifetime."
BOATPro reached out to Fraser, who declined to comment on news of the yacht's sale.
