9 of the latest broker-led superyacht projects

All over the world, we see many shiny new superyachts enjoying their first summer season. Despite some new-build projects ticking away slower than usual during the pandemic, one particular brokerage house was able to keep up the pace.

With a string of active and successful sales, new build, refit and global consultancy contracts on the go, Camper & Nicholsons (C&N) has kept a professional workforce that remains at the complete disposal of its clients to improve their yachting lifestyle. Those at C&N form close relationships with all of their superyacht clients and accompany them from the very beginning of a project, through to meeting the designers, architects, yards and helping with bidding and contracts.

Once the new build has been completed and delivered, the client is offered all necessary services such as yacht management, charter marketing and management, as well as insurance. Some of the clients who have utilised these services are the happy owners of the following new build projects that Camper & Nicholsons has had the pleasure to assist with as of late.

54m C

Delivered in late 2020 and seen cruising during February 2021, the 54-metre superyacht Project 231, now named C, was handed over to her owner in La Spezia at the Baglietto yard. Sold by the Senior C&N broker, Fernando Nicholsons, she features a design by Horacio Bozzo Design and an interior by Hot Lab suitable for a large family with plenty of ‘informal’ areas and six staterooms. By working closely with the builders, designers, naval architects, captains and suppliers, Camper & Nicholsons were on hand to ensure their client was completely satisfied with the build.

49.9m Olokun

In early 2021, the owner of the new Tankoa superyacht Olokun stepped on board to take delivery and spent their first season in the Côte d'Azur. The full-aluminium yacht began as an on-spec project that was sold by Senior C&N broker Fernando Nicholsons and has continued to be managed by the brokerage firm. Her distinctive black hull is a unique design element that was created using a high-performance coating that reduces the temperature of the metal in sunlight by up to 10°C.

37m Run Away

The first unit from the Baglietto Dom 123 line, named Run Away, was delivered in March 2021 after being sold to her owners by the Camper & Nicholsons New Build Division. She features both an exterior and interior by Stefano Vafiadis that enhances the forward bulb hull design that carries three decks designed for a multitude of purposes.

40.5m RJ

In May 2021, Cantieri delle Marche (CdM) delivered RJ as its latest steel and aluminium explorer yacht with naval architecture by Hydro Tec and designs by Francesco Paszkowski. Her owner – who was sold the new-build project by Camper & Nicholsons – wanted the customised construction to suit the desire to spend as much time at sea as possible. The CdM shipyard continues to expand the RJ explorer yacht range.

48m Lion

Set to be delivered during the summer of 2021 is the third Baglietto T-Line flagship yacht, hull number 10233, sold by the two Senior C&N brokers, Tommaso Bilotta and Fernando Nicholsons. Camper & Nicholsons’ New Build Division acted as the owner’s technical advisor and the project manager to supervise the project on behalf of the yacht’s South American owner. Having now named the yacht Lion, the owner worked closely with designer Francesco Paszkowski to customise the upper deck configuration and add a larger sky lounge and a winter garden.

Baglietto DOM 133

Sold by Senior C&N broker, Fernando Nicholson, at the beginning of 2021, one of the 39.95-metre Baglietto DOM 133 speculation projects benefitted from the expertise of the Camper & Nicholsons New Build Division. By acting as an advisor for Baglietto, Camper & Nicholsons assisted from the initial design and product development stages. The project was said to match the strictest industry criteria and was customised to suit the client.
