Standout superyachts attending the 2021 Palma Superyacht Show

The Palma Superyacht Show is taking place on the Spanish island of Mallorca from June 3 to June 6, 2021. We take a look at some of the biggest and best superyachts attending the brokerage and charter show.

Borkumriff IV

50.58 metres

Borkumriff IV is the biggest superyacht by length attending this year’s Palma show, and perhaps the most distinctive in appearance. Delivered by Royal Husiman Shipyard in 2002 to a design by John Alden, this classic-inspired modern schooner offers all the charm and appeal of a traditional yacht while being equipped with the comforts of modern-day amenities. She still belongs to her original owners and has been meticulously maintained to ensure optimum performance at sea. Her interiors, designed by John Munford, are as classic-looking as the exterior and can accommodate up to six guests and nine crew members. She comes equipped with two tenders and can reach a top speed of 12.5 knots under the power of her 1,057hp MTU engine, offering a cruising range of 3,200 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Borkumriff IV is listed for sale with Hoek brokerage with an asking price of €14,900,000, VAT paid.

Her interiors, which were last refitted in 2018, offer accommodation for 12 guests. Despite her extensive facilities, San Bernardo can reach a swift top speed of 25 knots under the power of two MTU engines.

The 37 metre, bluewater cruising ketch was designed by naval architect Ed Dubois and has been constantly upgraded and refitted since her delivery in 1991, most recently having had her rigs refreshed and repainted in 2020. Her interiors, designed by Terence Disdale in a classic style, can accommodate eight guests in a versatile four cabin layout, including a full-beam master stateroom. Highlights on board include a hot tub, a range of water toys including fishing and scuba diving gear stowed away in her toy box, and a BBQ grill.

Iduna

34 metres

While many of the other sailing yachts attending the Palma Superyacht Show this year are modern recreations of classics, Iduna is the real deal, having been delivered by Feadship shipyard way back in 1939. The classic 34 metre yacht was considered the largest auxiliary ketch in Holland at the time of her build and remains a very special piece of maritime history today, with her last refit having taken place in 2020 to ensure she stays in prime condition. Her interiors by De Voogt, finished in warm, wood panelling can accommodate six guests and four crew and offer both indoor and outdoor dining spaces.

Iduna is jointly listed for sale with Ocean Independence and Holland Yacht Connection with an asking price of €4,800,000.
