TC 128 ATALANTE; style and beauty that does not age!
After having built and owned a Truly Classic 90, the owner enjoyed the design and build process, as well as her beauty, agile and performance handling so much that he decided to build the larger TC 128 ATALANTE. Built again by Claassen in the Netherlands and launched in 2015. The outstanding quality of workmanship, luxurious and warm interior styling, the vast and well executed teak work on deck, all representing the much-acclaimed quality of this builder.
The design, quality and finish of Atalante made her the winner of a World Superyacht Awards “Neptune”, the Oscars of Superyachting, for the best sailing yacht below 40 metres in the year of her launch, quote:
“WORLD SUPERYACHT AWARDS 2016, SAILING YACHT 30-METRES TO 39.99-METRES, ATALANTE “
Since her launch date ATALANTE was kept in Class (ABS-MCA Commercial class A1 Unrestricted), and was treated with a strict, diligent and preventive maintenance program. For example her rigging inspection was conducted early 2024, as well as the 10 000 hour top- end overhaul of the generators and many other preventive jobs have been conducted ahead of her 10 year survey which is due in 2025. Like most of the Truly Classic yachts the aluminium hull was built by the iconic aluminium builder BLOEMSMA in the Netherlands. The standing rigging is carbon, and the carbon mast and park avenue boom are by Offshore Spars. Combined with a vast variety of high end and contemporary equipment throughout the yacht, she represents a unique and sensible opportunity.
As requested by the owner, the yacht was designed with two cockpits, an aft (navigation/office) deckhouse and a very comfortable main deckhouse offering ample space for lounging and dining. The main cockpit is spacious and perfect for al fresco dining and socialising and has a split aft section with a U-shapes aft cockpit seating arrangement. Both aft and centre cockpits are protected by Bimini’s with illumination in the stainless steel framing.
Down below starting aft of the yacht you will find an elegant full beam master cabin with His and Hers’ elaborate ensuites. The master cabin is directly connected to the aft deckhouse. Forward of the master stateroom you will see the lounge and Library to Port side and a bar across on Starboard side. Going forward there is a day head- entry to the control room and access to the engine room which is situated below the main deckhouse floor. Going up a few steps you will get into the main deckhouse and going forward there are two guest cabins Port and Starboard, both with en-suite, followed by the Gally on Port side and the crew mess on Starboard. Forward to Port side there is the laundry with toilet and shower facility for the 5th crew who lives in the cabin opposite on Starboard. The 4 crew live forward in opposite cabins. The yacht offers a maximum accommodation for 6 guests with 5 crew. ATALANTE is a good performer in the regatta scene and has been very successful offering discerning clients great charter experiences over the years.
