Thousands of visitors from over 102 different countries are set to descend on the German city of Düsseldorf for the 50th anniversary show of the biggest boat and water sports trade fair in the world. The nine-day trade show boot Düsseldorf will run from January 19-27 and will see almost 2,000 exhibitors from more than 70 countries present the latest innovations and developments the maritime industry has to offer.
The exhibition will take place in 16 halls covering more than 220,000 square metres and will include presentations from the likes of Princess and Monte Carlo Yachts. Engines and general yachting equipment and accessories will also be represented alongside every water sport imaginable, from jet skiing and kitesurfing to rowing and paddle boarding. Visitors will also have the chance to visit the stands of marinas, water sport facilities, beach resorts and charter companies.
Show director Petros Michelidakis was keen to stress the diversity of the show and its exhibitors. “boot Düsseldorf is the only trade fair in the world that truly represents the diversity of the industry and scene. With manufacturers from over 70 countries throughout the world expected to attend, we are unique in exhibiting such a wide range of product diversity,” he said.
After 50 years in the spotlight, boot Düsseldorf has now earned its place on the international stage, he added.
“boot is not simply a show for regional visitors, rather, it is a recognised international industry event, characterised by its B2B platform. This is how decision makers from large charter companies use the trade fair: to gain a comprehensive overview of the market, to make direct contact with manufacturers and to make comparisons.”
boot Düsseldorf will be open from 10am – 6pm every day. Admission is €19 daily ticket, €11 reduced fee and €7 for children aged between 7 - 12. All tickets entitle ticket holders to use the Rhine-Ruhr transport system for free and can be purchased online.
