The latest addition to Mangusta’s GranSport line brings together luxury, space, performance and efficiency. Step on board the Mangusta GranSport 45...
While Mangustas are typically known for their speed, the Mangusta GranSport series offers owners the best of both worlds. A profile designed by Alberto Mancini combines contemporary design with Italian flair for a high performance superyacht that doesn’t sacrifice on style.
Much more than a sporty exterior, the Mangusta GranSport can cross the Atlantic Ocean with ease and explore hard to reach anchorages thanks to a shallow draft. While she may not be as big as her 54 metre flagship sibling, she still possesses the same blend of sporty lines, stylish design and technical solutions, and outstanding performance.
True to the original idea of Mangustas that celebrated the Mediterranean lifestyle, the Mangusta GranSport 45 is the perfect option for those looking to make the most of the outdoors. The sundeck is a haven for sun-worshippers with loungers aft, while the foredeck houses a seven-person spa pool with sun pads to either side and optional awnings overhead.
Thanks to some clever engineering, Overmarine Group has been able to move the tender garage forward, leaving plenty of space for a roomy beach club aft, revealed by a hydraulic transom door. Two terraces rotate from both port and starboard and connect with the central swim platform to create one 75 square metre space for lounging right at the water’s edge.
Even when spending time inside, special care has been taken to keep guests connected to the outdoors. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors to either side of the main saloon offer sweeping views, a sea breeze, and allow light to flood the interior space. Even the master en suite features a skylight, reflecting dappled blue beams from the foredeck pool above.
The Mangusta GranSport 45 can accommodate up to 12 guests in six staterooms, including a full-beam master suite forward complete with a balcony that folds down at the touch of a button – the perfect spot for morning coffees.
As you would expect with any Mangusta, the Mangusta GranSport 45 comes with plenty of power. Some 7,800hp of it, in fact, courtesy of three MTU 2000 M96L engines. Two are connected to the propellers while the third central engine powers a Kamewa waterjet. This unique propulsion package allows the yacht to achieve different speeds with the central unit acting as a booster, as well as offering enhanced manoeuvrability when in port.
The Mangusta GranSport 45 offers a number of layout options to suit the needs and priorities of each individual owner, whether it be family, entertainment or adventure. With a top speed of 26 knots, a transoceanic range of 3,500 miles at 11 knots and a draft of only 2.2 metres, she offers any owner unlimited freedom of choice.
