The 28 metre Sunseeker Black Diamond has been destroyed in a fire at the IMS shipyard in Saint-Mandrier, in southern France.

A team of 40 firefighters tackled the blaze in an effort to prevent the flames from reaching neighbouring yachts in the shipyard. No one was on board at the time of the fire.

Black Diamond is now resting partially submerged at the IMS shipyard. Anti-pollution barriers have been erected to prevent any fuel leaks.

Black Diamond was delivered by British shipyard Sunseeker in 2010 as Predator 82. According to BOAT Pro's Global Fleet Tracker, the yacht arrived in Saint-Mandrier on August 28.
