The 44 metre converted Lürssen patrol vessel Sea Star, listed for sale by Yacht Marine, has had a price reduction of €600,000.
Sea Star was originally built for the German Navy in 1963 as a high speed patrol vessel know as Jaguar Type 140. During this period four Mercedes MB518 engines ensured she reached an impressive top speed of up to 42 knots. In 1972 she was given to the Turkish Navy where she remained in service until the mid 1980s.
In 2007 she was totally rebuilt by Selah shipyard to be transformed into a luxury yacht. This is the first time that Sea Star has been offered for sale since her conversion.
Her rebuilt configuration offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in five cabins — including one owner’s suite, two double cabins and two twin cabins. She can also accommodate up to eight crew.
Her spacious interior has a luxurious feel thanks to the use of crème fabrics, with dark wood and gold fittings. She has a large airy salon that leads into a formal dining area, which can comfortably seat up to 10 guests. Further forward she has a large bar area — perfect for pre-dinner cocktails.
She has two areas for alfresco dining both on her main deck aft and on her sundeck. Her impressive sundeck also offers plenty of space for taking in the sunshine and has a Jacuzzi forward.
Twin MTU 1500 hp engines give her a comfortable cruising speed of 16 knots and a maximum speed of 22 knots. She was also fitted with new Onan generators in 2014
Lying in Turkey, Sea Star is now asking €1,395,000.
