Here's another exclusive as the French yard H2X based in La Ciotat launched the Blue Coast 95 yesterday.
The Blue Coast 95 is designed by Coste Design & Partners. Bureau Veritas classed, with a length of 28.8m and a beam of 12m, she joins the limited fleet of large luxury sailing catamarans cruising the world's oceans.
The Blue Coast 95 is built in composite, an infusion of epoxy resin/glass fibre/carbon fibre and PU foam core. She has a rotating carbon wing mast measuring 33m in height. The mast and the boom come from Petitjean Composites. She's powered by twin Cummins engines of 425hp each allowing a maximum speed of 15 knots and a range of 1,500 nautical miles at her cruising speed.
Accommodation is for 8 guests. The master is on the main deck, while three double guest cabins are on the lower deck.
Another cabin is dedicated to a crew of 4.
Scheduled to be delivered to her lucky owners before the end of the year, the Blue Coast 95 will be christened Cartouche.
